First, I want to clarify the name of my blog. It is a play on my sister's website, shaninjapan. She is a missionary in Japan and God in His providence gave the name Shan to my parents when naming their first daughter. I am thankful that God has called me to be right where I am, in Sioux Falls, SD with my little family. I don't think I would do well in Rwanda for many reasons but the main reason is that God has not called us there...yet. I know that if He ever does, He will spend a great deal of time preparing our hearts!
So, this little corner of the World Wide Web will be dedicated to what God has called me to. For now, it is waiting. When I figure all this blogging stuff out, I will link to Ann Voskamp's post about waiting that was really impactful for me.
